What we collect
When you use the offer form we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the town or postcode where the car is located, and information about the car — registration number, make, model, year, mileage, condition, your description and any photos you upload. If you call us, we may note your phone number and the details of your car.
Why we use it
We use your details to contact you about your car, to give you an offer, and — if you accept — to arrange payment, collection and the paperwork for the sale, including deregistration of the vehicle where relevant. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and the contract itself if you sell to us (GDPR article 6(1)(b)). Records relating to a completed purchase are kept to meet our obligations under Danish bookkeeping law (GDPR article 6(1)(c)).
Where your details go
Your enquiry is stored in our customer system, which we operate ourselves. We may send you text messages and emails about your enquiry through our SMS and email providers, and we look up public vehicle data from the Danish Motor Register (DMR) using the registration number you provide. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with third parties for marketing.
How long we keep it
If you do not sell your car to us, we delete your enquiry and any photos within 12 months. If you sell to us, purchase records are kept for five years after the end of the financial year, as required by Danish bookkeeping law.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use them, and receive a copy in a portable format.
